5	John Fagan Cards	Infield	Debuted for the 2001 Martinsville Astros, and played there again in 2002. In 2003, playing for Lexington, he led the Astros farm system in homers with 18. 2004 saw a slight increase in average, a larger increase in doubles, and a sharp decrease in homers while playing for Salem. Got a promotion to Corpus Christi in 2005, and played there again in '06, but the power was largely absent.

7	Thomas Fairchild Cards	Pitcher	12th round pick out of Southern Maine in the June 2005 draft was third in strikeouts for the '05 ValleyCats. Really sparkled in 2006 for Lexington, going 10 - 3 with 1.66 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP, while being selected to start the Sally All-Star game. Made only two starts for Corpus in '07 before blowing out his elbow.

4	Gordon Farmer Cards	Pitcher	Was actually 9 - 2 with a 2.95 ERA at Asheville in '89. Topped out, and crapped out, at Osceola two years later, though.
3	Jesus Farraez Cards	Outfield	I don't understand: Guy hit .225 with Auburn in '96, then was PROMOTED to Quad City for '97, where he promptly hit .219. Given that, the Astros' brass then PROMOTED HIM AGAIN to Kissimmee for '98. Don't know what Farraez did there, but the development people must have woken up, cause he was never heard from again
19	DICK FARRELL Cards	Pitcher	"Turk" was an All Star in '62, an Opening Day starter in 63, then an All-Star again in '64 and '65.
2	Stan Fascher Cards	Pitcher	6 - 6 with a 2.82 at Asheville in '86
9	Danny Fatheree Cards	Catcher	Backup catcher to John Buck on that awesome 2001 Lexington Legends team rose to New Orleans for 2003. "Tank" was then diagnosed with Factor II, an extremely rare blood-clotting disorder. He ended that season on the disabled list and the Zephyrs' Booster Club renamed their Most Inspirational Player award after him. It looks like he made a recovery: He was activated by the Zephyrs in June of 2004, and was re-signed the following offseason, spending 2005, 2006, and 2007 with AA Corpus Christi as a Player/Coach. His 2007 Grandstand card notes that he was the catcher during the Home Run Derby at the 2004 major league All-Star game in Houston
2	ERNIE FAZIO Cards	2nd Base	Original Colt .45 Bonus Baby led off Opening Day in 63; The two cards I've got are the '63 Pepsi card, and the TCMA the 1960's issue. Played 1964 at AAA Oklahoma City
9	Mike Felder Cards	Outfield	Journeyman spent '94 in Houston
5	JOE FERGUSON Cards	Catcher	Came to the 'Stros in the deal that sent a prematurely aged Dirk to St. Louis: Opening Day 78 - 79, and the Astros' all-time leader in walks per plate appearance (minimum 500 pa), with .174.
1	Tony Ferguson Cards	Pitcher	First and only season was with Martinsville in 1999
2	Ramon Fereira Cards	Pitcher	'98 at Auburn and '99 at Martinsville, then back to Venezuela
3	Jared Fernandez Cards	Pitcher	Knuckleballer, while pitching for the Reds, baffled the 'Stros one afternoon at Minute Maid: Guess that's why they went out and signed him as a free agent. Assigned to New Orleans after an injury during 2003 spring training, Jared was in Houston by the end of the year. 2004 can be best expressed by the following number: 54.00, which was his major league ERA, and although he led the 2004 Zephyrs in complete games, he was back with the Reds for 2005.
6	Sid Fernandez Cards	Pitcher	Absolutely and COMPLETELY out of gas by the time the Astros got him; retired about halfway through the Astros' 97 campaign
6	Osvaldo Fernando Cards	Shortstop	You guessed it - San Pedro De Macoris . . . Debuted in the United States at Martinsville in 2002 and finished second on the Martinsville club in hits and runs. Named a South Atlantic League All Star in 2003 while playing for Lexington. Named Lexington's Defensive Player of the Month for June 2004. Took over at short for Corpus Christi in '06 when Ben Zobrist was traded to Tampa Bay for Aubrey Huff, and starred in the Hooks' Trexas League championship run, slugging .647 and recording a hit in each of Corpus's six playoff games.
4	Sean Fesh Cards	Pitcher	If it's still there, this page, http://fesh.theelsa.com says more than I ever could. And if it's not, just know that in 2001 Fesh made the Atlantic League All-Star team for the independent Bridgeport Bluefish on the strength of his new sidearm motion.

108	STEVE FINLEY Cards	Outfield	Finley was THE MAN, and not just 'cause he led the NL in triples for 1993 with 13, or even for the inside the park job he hit 9/14/93. Him being THE MAN had a lot to do with his defense, even though his Astro cards don't accurately capture the amazing defense he often played
1	Tony Fiore Card	Pitcher	2 - 2 with 1 4.63 for the 2004 New Orleans Zephyrs; released by June 26.
2	Sam Fischer Cards	Pitcher	22nd Round Pick of the 'Stros in the 6/02 Draft began at Martinsville in 2002
3	Mike Fischlin Cards	Infield	Oh-by-the-wayer in the deal that rid the Astros of famed defensive liability Cliff Johnson. In addition to Fischlin, this trade with the Yankees in June of '77 netted them '80 NLCS hero Dave Bergman, and, less significantly, Randy Niemann. Fischlin got a couple cups of coffee at Houston in 78 and '79--compiling the lowest batting average of any Astro ever with more than a 100 at bats (.127)--and even appeared on a Prospects card, but spent the bulk of his time at AAA Charleston.

3	Jhon Florentino Card	Infield	NDFA from the Dominican Republic finished third in RBI's on the 2005 Greeneville Astros, and had advanced to Lexington by 2007

10	Josh Flores Cards	Outfield	Fourth round pick in the June 2005 draft was named a Baseball America Top Ten prospect in the organization after his first season at Greeneville, and an Appy League Top Prospect as well, after leading the '05 G-ville 'Stros in doubles and total bases and the Appy league in hits. 2006 wasn't quite as easy for him, but he still finished second on the '06 Lexington Legends in total bases. Began '07 with High A Salem, OPSing .892, but was promoted to AA Corpus in July

1	Ray Fontenot Card	Pitcher	Spent '87 in Tucson, but was respectable in '86 for Chicago, where he posted a 3 -5 record with a 3.86 ERA as a Cub
10	Tim Forkner Cards	3rd Base	14th round pick in the June 1993 draft led the 1993 Auburn Astros with nine triples, then earned All-Star berths at single A Quad City in 1994, at High A Kissimmee in 1995 and at AA Jackson for 1996. Named the MVP of the 1995 Florida State League All-Star Game, in which he went 3 for 4 with a double.
7	Bob Forsch Cards	Pitcher	Unlike his brother Ken, Bob's days as an Astro were not glorious; Bob was torched for the second seven of the 14 runs the Reds scored in the first inning of their game against the 'Stros August 3, 1989. This was, as the Miami Herald informed me in big bold letters the next morning, the biggest first-inning outburst of the twentieth century. Century ended that way, too. 'Course, let's blame Jim Clancy here as well--there's a lot to go around

2	Guillermo Foster Cards	Outfield	Another guy who's obscurity has been highlighted by his inclusion in both Cedar Rapids TCMA sets

s	Kevin Fox Cards	Outfield	15th round pick in June of '06 had a 2 - 2 record with a 3.26 ERA at Greenville in 2006, but didn't do quite so well in '07 with Tri-City: his only win of the year came despite three runs and four hits in two innings.
5	NELLIE FOX Cards	Shortstop	Opening Day in 64--Hall-of-Famer and 1959 MVP with the White Sox of course. They brought him in to tutor rookie phenom Joe Morgan. His '64 Topps Large # 13 shows him with this HUGE wad of tobacco in his mouth. Check it out.

2	Esterlin Franco Cards	Infield	His 2000 Grandstand Martinsville issue calls him Esterlin; his 2001 Pittsfield Multi-Ad calls him Sterling. I wonder who's right?
1	John Franco Cards	Pitcher	Long time closer for the Reds and Mets was third on the career saves list--and quite thoroughly done--by the time he pitched for the Astros, in the first part of 2005
5	Wayne Franklin Cards	Pitcher	Between ' 99 and '01, would jump from Kissimmee to New Orleans to the Astros--and the jump from Kissimmee to New Orleans went much better. Later, would make the '02 AAA All-Star Game for New Orleans, get traded, and say some VERY bad things about the Astros.
7	Lou Frazier Cards	Shortstop	Top draft pick in the 1986 secondary phase was a Florida State League All-Star in 1988, when he walked 90 times and led the league in steals with 87. Got as high as AA Columbus with the Astros organization; went on to play in the majors for the Expos and Rangers; hit .252 in five ML seasons
2	Dean Freeland Cards	Pitcher	Shuttled between Jackson and Tucson in 1991
4	Daniel Freeman Cards	Pitcher	17th Round Pick of the Astros in the 06/02 draft debuted for the Martinsville Astros in 2002, and went an eye-catching 9 - 1 with a 2.96, leading the team in wins and saves. Closed for Lexington in 2003, and made the SAL All Star team. Not as reliable for Salem in 2004, as a 4.86 ERA shows, but he still led the team in saves. Appeared in 39 games for the '05 Avalanche, but only notched four saves, as those duties had been passed on to Rodrigo Escobar and Aaron Williams
15	Mike Freer Cards	Trainer	Removed salt from the wounds for Osceola and Jackson between 1991 and 1996, then was promoted to New Orleans, where in 2003, he was named Minor League Trainer of the Year. He moved to Round Rock when the AAA affiliate did and concluded his 18th season in the Astros organization in 2007. Served as head Trainer for the Netherlands during the 2006 World Baseball Classic
1	Gene Freese Cards	Infield	Utilityman acquired in July of '66 from the White Sox for Jim Mahoney was included in that year's Team Issue despite only slugging .091
