"Adam was thrilled to get a chance to play behind Roger Clemens in 2004 but he admitted, 'I'll be the first to say that I was very intimidated in Spring Training. I was scared and nervous when I was around him. The guy's almost got as many years in the big leagues as I am old.' As it turned out, the pleasure was all The Rocket's. 'Adam's been tremendous,' said Clemens. 'What a shortstop he is.'
